Damn fellas !! Makes me a little jealous ! My junk aint nearly as nice looking, but its serves a different purpose (rock crawlin). Those are some impressive cars though ( fs-ar) you should be proud, very nice. You do that hood yourself ??

No I didn't paint the car. I bought it from a guy in Omaha and it was already painted. I want to upgrade some of the bodywork to fiberglass, but hate to repaint it with such a nice job done already.

The car has a 460 BBC with a powerglide. It's a 68 Nova tube chassis with struts. Has a nine inch under it.

Here is a simple page I put together for it.

I'd be willing to bet that you could kick my butt in the quarter, but I could turn at the end much quicker. Nice car! My wife really likes the hood art. Says it would look good on her 69.

Yep. It does not turn too good at all. I have never ran it on the 1/4 mile, just the 1/8th. Our best time is 6.52 @ 105.19. That comes out to about a 10.29 at 131.5 according to some of the on line calculators. We know it will go faster, but we are new at this and am learning with each trip to the track. Our target is 9.70's or 9.80's so we can go index racing in NHRA or IHRA. I used to race my 69 Camaro back in the early 70's but then got married and raised 2 kids. Now the youngest is the driver. And he is 27 years old. I never thought it would be so much fun and not even be driving. But when you get back to the pits and he is standing there with a grin from ear to ear you can not even describe the feeling.

My son loves the hood art. We have had several compliments about it.

Probably not much commentary needed here, what you see is what you get....

Beautiful car man. Really nicely done. I've never been into drag racing and honestly always kind of thought it was, I don't know, simple or something. Then I started watching that Pinks all out. The one were they get ~300 cars and create a field of 16. Man I am fricken addicted to that show now!! The adreneline rush looks huge. I really love all the comeraderie there is in the pits and the exicitement in general. There is a lot more technique and timing involved than I realized as well. I've been road course racing for seveal years now, but I'd love to try the strip. Only down side I see to drag racing is the same as raod course racing. LOTS of time working on the car for a small amount of time driving.

Very nice setup -car, trailer and truck. Looks great!!
