It's just not possible, nor provide any value over a Prodigy in a truck not designed for it. The integrated controller interacs with the ABS module and engine module for better performance. since you won't be changing the software on those modules, you'll get no additional benefit over a good proportional brake controller. Plus, it costs way more and woudl be a PITA to get it work without the other interfaces.
You would need to start by installing a brake master cylinder from a Super Duty in the F150 which would throw off the correct proportioning for the F150.....nix that idead. You need to pry the tag off the front fenders and tail gate that say F150 and get a new Super Duty and do the same, then install your F150 tag on the Super Duty.
It just isn't worth the work involved. There are so many things that need to be replaced. For example if you bought a Super Duty and did not get the integrated brake controller and wanted to add it later the cost for parts alone is over $1500. And that truck is designed for it. That same Super Duty has the same brake controller plug as the F150 under the dash and you could install a Prodigy of similar for $150.
The Prodigy can be mounted in all kinds of places. If you are worried about hitting you knees it, it can be mounted on the dash below your key ignition. You definately won't be hitting anything on it. I have also seen brake controllers mounted on top of the dash and on the A-pillar, but I don't recommend these locations.
