Opinions on painted stock wheels

I painted the inserts on my stock XLT wheels, they were a grey color which I did not like, I painted them black which I think really makes the polished aluminum high lites stand out. Just looking for some honest opinions. Like them or not let me know I can take it!! You can see some before and after pics in my gallery.:o

Sorry guys I didn't realize I was still in the towing area, don't know how to move to the 04-07 area. Oh well I would still appreciate your opinions, Thanks

My opinion is that they look a lot like mine. Did mine a couple of years ago, one of the best mods I'v done. Pics are in my gallery. They look great on your truck. I have never figured out why Ford used that faded grey color when so much on a truck is black.

I can't tell, did you paint all of the grey black? Not just the spokes, but the other wider area beside the spokes? If so, can you do a close up pic, I have considered doing that part as well.

Ok, nevermind, I just checked your gallery. That looks very good. May have to do that myself.

Yes, you are, for not finishing yours in the first place. You're sporting the half-painted wheels.

Hey thanks for all the thumbs up, it was a lot of time consuming work, but it was well worth it once it was done. I too sported the one side painted one side not for a week, did 2 one weekend and the other 2 the next weekend. the masking is the worst part.

he's giving me a hard time because I only painted the spokes, not the recessed area, as you did. he says i'm being lazy, but I just haven't convinced myself that would look best on a black truck. looks great on your truck.

Jimmyb, Blue's just getting self conscious because your painted wheels look better than his.
