class 3 sticker

I pull 6700lb camper. Since I had the truck I been paying for a class 3 sticker which is in my center console. I'm debating sticking it on my windshield. I bought the truck brand new. The truck is classified weighing 7200 lb.

So why are you debating sticking it on my windshield. I would think that is where it should be if you are debating it

I wouldn't bother throwing it on unless you're towing very frequently. I've got quite a few friends that are doing as you do and keeping it in the glove box. That being said, mine is on the windshield, but when my truck was first inspected in PA the station put it on. Luckily I don't have emissions stickers to deal with taking up more space there either.

And yes, if you're not from PA you wouldn't understand this thread. PA DOT regs fawking blow

That is probably a class 2 sticker which basically in PA means the truck is classed as a 3/4 ton truck because of the 7200 gvwr package. I have an 07 screw with the 7200 package and it also has the class 2 sticker, and yes you are required to have it in the windshield. The class 2 sticker is a weight rating.

DOT gave me a class 3 sticker not a class 2. I wonder if a mistake I don't know whats the weight limits on each class. I pay 153.00 a year. Do I really need a class 3 sticker or can I get away with a class 2 and pull the camper legally.

you should be a class 2, which is actually a 3/4 ton classification, class 3 is a 1 ton I believe. I have a 07 screw 5.4 with the 7200 gvwr rating and only have a class 2. My 04 stx was also a class 2. I swear I seen that rig going south on Rt 28 near Natrona Heights, PA like 2 fridays ago. How does she do towing that springdale? Any slide outs on it? Have you ever weighed it? what gears are in your truck. I am going to start towing a new Hornet 30ft with 1 slide out, about 6800lbs thats why Im asking. Nice looking rig!

It had to be July 27th weekend. I was going to canfield ohio for the trucknationals on friday. I take RT.28 then get on Pa turnpike to Ohio. then Aug 4 we went to plantaion park in grove city PA. which I wasn't on RT.28. We are going to plantation park again for Labor day weekend which my camper still there. It pulls Ok. I could use deeper gears. I'm running 3.73 gears now. I'm thinking about going 4.56 gears and got a price of 1000.00. My performance mods are xcal2, magnaflow siso exhaust and Af1 3.5. If your running stock tires you shouldn't have no problem unless your going to travel steep hills. When I went to Ohio I kept the overdrive off because I felt it shifted to much. Everytime I hit a slightest hill it shifted out of overdrive, so I kept it off. I was running about 2500 rpms. My camper weighs 6500 lbs with 1 slide out. Its the dinette and sofa bed. And yes i live in natrona heights Pa

Our trailer is in smith Grove up in cabot, out 356 on a permanent site, we had an older 35ft which was to heavy to tow, but we just got the 2008 30 ft Hornet 2 weekends ago, have not towed it yet but will be soon. My truck is a 07 screw dark stone and tan xlt, mods to date- Edge evo, K&N drop in filter, bed rug, toneau cover, tinted windows, vent shields, bug shield, and the chrome package

Lived in PA for 8 years. Towed a 31 foot travel trailer with my 3/4 ton Suburban for 4 years. Never heard of a weight class sticker. I bought the travel trailer new at Stoltsfuz, and they never mentioned a weight sticker requirement.

Glad I do not live in PA anymore, now I can enjoy my KR and my Jeep year round and not freeze my butt off. Not to mention the gawd awful DOT requirements the state has.

Its all about how the state can make more money. Raising the yearly registration fee depending on weight class on your truck. then where I live in allegheny county, have exhaust emissions,and 7 percent sales tax. Meanwhile all the other counties have no emission and only have 6 percent sales tax. Even if I buy a car in another county I still have to pay 7 percent sales tax because I live in allegheny county. Paying my truck off and moving into another county.
