Brake controller installation

Hey everybody Clap here, I am just new to the site. I have an 02 F150 SuperCrew. I just bought a 7X14 enclosed trailer with tandem axles with brakes. I have a brake controller from my last truck and I found a pigtail for the hookup in the Ford . What I would like to know is ,where are all you guys putting your brake controller so it is out of the way and makes a clean looking install.
Thanks Clap

'97-'03 have a little open dash to give you some hand clearance if you have a manual t-case shifter. It is between the cup holder and the cubby hole along side the steering column....kinda to the right of the power point/cig lighter. I mount them pretty low on the dash, but not on the bottom. On the bottom they get kinda hard to reach to adjust and too far to reach for an emergency manual push. Obviously if you have a manual t-case you will need to mount it higher on the dash below the cubby hole...closer to the steering column.

I hope this helps.

If you are left handed most people mount those higher on the dash below the head light switch to give you knee clearnace when entering the truck.
