any one ever used an adustable drop hitch??

i need about 12" of drop to level out my new trailer behind the wifes bronco but i dont want to spend a bunch on a solid one because then i will need to have two hitches in the truck, because i tow another trailer that is taller it only needs the 4" drop.the trailer tounge is real low on the new trailer,to put it in perspective i put it behind my 150 with a 6" drop and it is perfectly level, that truck is bone stock susp. and street tires. the bronco is sitting on 33" and 6" of lift.. the up side is that the top of the trailer(5x8 enclosed)will be perfectly level with the top of the bronco wheni get it leveled out, so i am hoping the drag doesnt hurt the gas milage it is bad enough now.

I have this Putnam as well as a Convert A Ball for the ultimate in towing flexability. Love them both.

I have this Putnam << exactly what i was thinking of, it looks as tho it will drop far enough to level the trailer then still be adustable for the taller trailer

and yea i think my wifes pretty cool, she forced me to lift it,.. well i guess i wanted to also, but she begged.... how can you say no!?!

the rapid hitch is nice, but i did not see one that looked like it would go low enough, so i kinda passed on them, how much drop can yours get, i need atleast 12"--same with the stow and go it doesnt look like they make one with enogh drop(or atleast that i saw)

I've got the standard 6"(??) drop/rise hitch, but they also make an extra long version, I think its like 12"...

The Master Lock adjustable hitch has 7 3/4" drop. Sounds like it may not work for you.

It looks like the one rapid hitch can go to 10" and the Putnam 10 3/4". Very similar.

i saw the rapid hitch this weekend in person at a supply store... very pimp!! she would definately dig that big hunk of billet on the bronco, but the one they had was a 6 or so inch drop and was something like $100.... i can only iagine how much one twice that big would be!

Hitchesonline has both. I think I paid $50 for my Putnam at a local RV/trailer shop. Maybe $75, but I don't think so. I thought I got my setup for under $100 for the convert-a-ball and hitch.
