V Nose Trailer

Looking at a 6x12 enclosed trailers. They are made by Homesteader, the challenger and patriot series. Do the v nose trailers pull much different than flat nose trailer? Just wondering if the patriot is worth the $200 extra. I like the extra space. Would it be easier on gas(v nose)? I have a 05 SCab FX4 with the 5.4 and towinr pkg. I will use it for atv's.

It would definitely be easier on gas and the tow vehicle. One of the biggest problems towing is air resistance. That is why in addition to weight, Ford lists a max of frontal area you can tow.

You also get more internal storage room since the v-nose portion is not measured in the overall length of the deck....well at least by most manufacturers'.

They list the interior at 13'8" for a 6x12 v nose. I has pretty much decided with the v nose. Just wanted some opionions from people that has pulled one. I had a salesman at one dealership try to tell me that the v nose was actually harder to pull. Didn't smell right to me. My buddy has a 12' tandem, not as high as my 6x10, pulls smoother than mine. Thanks for the help.

V-nose without question. You'll get about 2mpg better on the highway. BTW< tandem torsion axles ride better than single spring axle trailers.
