need some opinions

yall think if igot one of those wind scoops for the top fothe cab like most desiels pulling trailers like this have, that would help any? or not worth it?

The deal is that is a big trailer for a 1/2 ton. A wind deflector will help in speeds over 55mph, but the fact is it is a heavy trailer for a small truck.

I think the best money you could spend would be to sell the larger trailer, get a smaller/lighter v-nose trailer, or if this is not an option because you have to use that trailer get a bigger truck.

We sell 20' dove tail aluminum skin enclosed trailers used by landscapers with 3500lb axles in them loaded with 2 deck mowers and some small stuff (read..mostly empty) and they have trouble pulling them with F250's and gas engines. All their new trucks are 1 tons or bigger with diesels.

My guess is, with that truck, you should not be pulling more than about 6,000 pounds. I think you are maxed out at 7,000 pounds which, at that weight, does not give yo much margin for safety.

That trailer is going to need at least a 3/4 ton truck.
