Question Need 04 towing part numbers

Need some help. Tried searching the site and could not find the part numbers for the 7/4 pin wiring harness and the charging/flasher relays. My truck did not come with the towing package and I need to set it up soon for towing our camper. Any help would be appreciated. tnx.

You can get the OEM style 7 Pin connector that plugs into your 2 empty plugs at www.etrailer.com part # 18242 $55.95. This is just like the Ford Part. I don't know Ford's Price.

Tow Bat. CHG. Relay is F0AB-14B192-A Tow Backup Relay is F57B-14B192-A Also may need a 30 amp fuse. Hope these are correct, they are out of '99 Ford wiring dia........This is true thru 2004 old style body/new style different...

I updated the sticky today at the top of the page. Has the P/N and the locations of the fuses and relays.

Question that I do not have an answer to, is if the 1/2 relays are installed, without the factory tow package. I would think not. They are the same 1/2 Relays that are already installed.

I have the Factory tow package instructions in PDF format if you want them, just drop me an email via my profile, and I can email it to you.

I ordered a brake controller from www.brake-controller-USA.com, and I think they had the same parts that Ford has from the factory ( the pig tail for under the dash for the brake controller ).
The Ford P/N ( that came with my '06 ) is 4L3T-15A416-AB. This is the kit with the battery charge full ISO relay ( F0AB-14B192-A ) and the pigtail for the brake controller.
Another member got the full ISO Relay ( for the interior lights ) which crossed to : The Autozone number is #325595 41-5162
This is a GP Sorenson relay # 41-5162. This is the P/N for the Full ISO relay, if AutoZone has these, I would think they could cross to the 1/2 Relay as well.

With the pigtail for the brake controller from an online source, the full and half Relays from AutoZone, you should be set to go.

tow wiring assembly part no.

I just bought the 7 lead connector with wiring harness and bracket from a Ford dealer. It was YL3z-13A576-GB . Price was $45.47 plus tax. I hope I was given the correct part for my 2001 F150. Btw. it included a bracket for the rear bumper. My F150 came with the 4 lead receptor at the bumper. Thanks to Raisin and Sscully for the info they gave. I have 2 questions: Am I right to think I need to buy/install a brake controller ? What is the 5 pin connector , that branches out of the main trunk harness , used for ? I guess I will seal it off. The new rear bracket has/holds a 7 lead receptor and a 4 lead receptor.
