The trailer wiring adapter that came with my truck
I will be pulling a Uhaul trailer from Dallas to Atlanta in November. My truck came with the trailer wiring socket on the back bumper and an adapter was provided that fits this socket and then has wires sticking out to to to the trailer's wiring. Does anyone know the collor scheme? Ground, brake, right turn signal. left?

Hello Dave, and Welcome
The 4 wires in a standard plug are:
Brown-Tail lights
Yellow-Left Turn
Green-Right Turn
White-Ground
Yellow and Green are both HOT for Brake signal. The 4 pin plug is an industry standard, and should plug right into a UHaul trailer. No special fuses or relays required.

Another note about U-Haul trailers. They take a special adapter to run a standard 4 pin light setup.

One of those things but you can make one if you want but for $4 i would just buy one. It's been a few months since I looked at a U-Haul so they may have changed it but its been like that for as long as I can remember.
