Like the post says, the Border Patrol is not really easy on trucks... So it's interesting to see get it on a lift and see what it looks like.

 

I assume this was a loaner truck from Ford with the Kansas plates on it instead of US Gov't plates. They did state that it was in Texas and from the looks of the area, it was probably somewhere around the valley. I can tell you this, the BP around the ranch only knows 2 speeds-idle and wide open. Asphalt is not required for top end speeds either. Most of the trucks around the ranch area are GM trucks and they don't hold up very well. LOTS of front end failures on those trucks. Some even have frame damage considering some of the BP noticed the ride improves dramatically when all four tires are off the ground. To say this Raptor was abused is a gross understatement. The most common trick of the drug runners is to run out of town and at full speed, run off of the hiway and get as far into the brush as possible. Then bail out and run for it. Most often they run into the white brush which picks the truck off of the ground completely. Sometimes they even have a shoot out. You'll also find the BP in their rigs right behind them. But I'd bet the farm that this Raptor has seen some stuff that if it could talk, the BP would have to burn it.

 

I don't think so. The guy said he bought it and those are dealer plates.
