Does the 5.4L raptors have the same engine problems as all the 5.4L? Such as the leaky passenger side exhaust mainfold, broken spark plugs and the whole issue with the cam phaser, oil pump and timing chain.

I am thinking about getting rid of my 09 lariat and getting into a raptor. I couldn't find much info on the 5.4L related specifically to the raptor.

5.4 heads were redesigned in mid-2008 so there's no spark plug breakage issue. You would be better off looking for one with a 6.2.

 

Best looking Raptor I ever seen so far was my first, a 2009, Orange with Gold flake, SCAB, 5.4, No dirt decals. I would love to find it now.
