The headline of this post is pretty crazy: "Five years and nearly 70,000 miles later, this used Ford Raptor has retained an amazing 80% of its value." But it just goes to show that while it's difficult to call out what's going to become a modern classic, it does happen. So if you bought a first-gen raptor new, congrats! You made a great decision!

 

I'd say the fact that it has a V8 is a big part of the appeal for folks, even if the V6 makes more power...

 

holding value is somewhat accurate if you negate that most people paid over sticker price for their 1st gen Raptors

 

And the early 1st gen raptors with the 5.4 aren't all that desirable. The 6.2 was a much better engine.
