Raptor video from Germany
Hey,
I just saw the german Raptor video on the home site:

As I am german I thought I'd drop a line about the text in the video.
Basically there are no emotions, just pure facts being said about the current Raptor. Mainly it is about the size, the price in the US and in Germany and how the sound is better than expected with the V6. But they do mention that the sound is synthetically generated, unlike it was on the old V8. They also comment on how pointless the down-sizing to the V6 is. The gas-mileage in real life just is not really different from the old V8. Personally, I do not know if that is true, but I know it is for other vehicles.
But about the Raptor in Germany: I do not see a real point in that, as we do not have any wide open desert or off-road areas where you could have fun with such a vehicle. Any offroad part over here is narrow or short, so nothing for a race truck like the Raptor. I think about buying one every once in a while but it would be just for the sake of having it without any sense behind it. So at the moment I stick with my Lariat and my Lightning.
