The Raptor Is Great Enough to Cross Language Barriers

With a touch of mute, and a second audio soundtrack, this could be the best Ford Raptor video you’ll see all week.

We have a weird video for you guys today. It’s a quick video about the Ford Raptor that we think is a general statistics and capability overview. We don’t know for certain because the entire video is in German. But that doesn’t actually matter, it turns out.

The video is barely more than 90 seconds long, but it’s filled with some great aerial footage of a Raptor climbing, crawling, and speeding through the desert.

We’ve ended up watching it about six or seven times now. We just muted the German voice over and cranked up our favorite tunes. Motley Crue‘s “Wild Side” and Metallica‘s “Fuel” go particularly well with the visuals.

When you add a little rock and roll to the mix, this Ford Raptor footage basically turns into an awesome music video. We found a few modern country tunes worked pretty well also.

Our favorite line is ‘up to the cage with a standard rector is Ford 2016.’ If anyone here speaks German and wants to provide a better translation, drop it in the forum.

If you are really interested in what the video voice-over says, YouTube does have an auto translate feature, but it works about as well as you would expect. Our favorite line might be “up to the cage with a standard rector is Ford 2016.” If anyone here speaks fluent German and wants to provide a better translation, drop it in the forum. Maybe we can shed some light on the actual content of this video, rather than just drooling over the visuals.

We never really think about how other nations look at the Raptor, especially Germany, the home of the fastest roads and some of the fastest cars in the world. What are they saying about this mighty American pickup? How impressed are they? We certainly couldn’t get any real answers from Google’s auto-captions.
