I don't have a Raptor but perhaps some of you can give some thoughts about this.

I'd be pretty mad if I went out and spend 55k on a raptor and the frame bent. If someone can prove that the frames are bending then ford is gonna have to recall them or something. Hopefully they put some beefier frames in the new raptors.

The frames WILL bend if you jump it like an idiot. All Ford videos were the Raptor is jumping is preformed will a professional driver under controled conditions.

The guys that bent there frames were bent because the guys were doing 100mph and hit a old cattle guard, that had a terrible approach angle. Add that to a unprofessional driver, and the truck was hitting rear wheels first on the landing. This forced the rear axle up violently, hitting the rear rubber bump stops. The bump stops bent the frame.

SDHQ has addressed this user error with revised bump stops, and extra bracing kits.

No truck is indestructable. Just scout your high speed routes first, and you should not have a problem with the Raptor's frame.

That's right!

The Raptor has longer travel suspension with softer springs to soak up the bumps better .... but when that travel is used up and things are still compressing at high velocity .... something is gonna give.

I sort of like the bracing kit even for a regular F-150 that's gonna be in the family long time!

that "bracing kit" will not do anything, first off they are bracing where it is not bent, second its just a plate bolted to the frame. the only added strength that adds is the clamping force of the 1 bolt dispersed throughout that plate=not that much
