It has a max weight of 6k and 12,300 at the hitch. Not sure how much one of those campers weight...I always thought they were heavy SOBs
Not at all. I have a 26 foot double axle bumper pull RV that weighs about 4800 with full propane. It has 2 either 20# or 30# bottles, dont remember at the moment, but they are sitting right on the hitch. My truck can pull it with the programmer set to stock. Dont get me wrong, you will feel that little camper's weight on the raptor when your driving but it is definitely within the vehicle's limits.

I can hear him now.....
"Wife said I can get a truck...Any truck...As long as we could put our camper in the back. So what did I do? I bought a Raptor! Because we only put the camper in for a few days at a time and the rest of that time.....I got a raptor!"

...or at least that is how I understand it.
Ok, I understand now. The whole "12,500 lbs at the hitch" was confusing the hell out of me.
The main point is that the raptor should survive having a little camper on top.
What I find kinda strange is that this truck has a larger engine, improved suspension and powertrain but here is what my manual says for my truck, with 4.6L engine and 3.55 gears. 6600 Trailer 11500 GCWR

Once he gets to his campsite, I'll bet he can have that camper off in less then 15 minutes... Lower it to the ground, raise the top and he's got a very nice 'tent' for the weekend... The rest of the time he's doing the 'Baja' thing with the truck out on the trails and having a blast!!
Here are some pics of what I've done with my truck once I've setup in camp...
