those of you saying the raptor is gay (although it is pretty heftily priced for what it is...) this is the kind of stuff you can do with it...

granted the truck in the top pick is significantly better than the raptor, you get the point...

the bottom truck is mine. doing about 50 there

A loaded FX4 costs almost as much as the Raptor msrp; I just "built" one online yesterday. To then take an FX4 and turn it into a Raptor would cost, what, another 10k? At least? Sorry, I can't say as the Raptor is overpriced.

Same here. And I HIGHLY doubt half of the Raptors sold will be used like they were built for.

[Fixed.]

The top two trucks are built a lot more than the Raptor, suspension-wise.

It looks like your truck has maybe 10" of wheel travel. The Raptor has 11". The two other trucks have 18-20+.

I think you can say that about most of the fully loaded trucks that people are buying out there

Here is my only gripe about the truck. Plastic front bumper.

I love the fact that my 2005 F150 has a metal bumper, and I'm not afraid to "chrome horn" somebody. If I'm off-roading in my Raptor I don't want to have to worry about every tree, cactus and rock I see.

ya no **** they are built a lot more (as i said in my origional post) but it gives the non off-road guys an idea of just why its pretty rad.

actually, mine has 14" front and 18" rear. you lose quite a bit having 4x4 but its worth it in for what i use it for. the raptor set up isn't bad but it is a little pricey for sure. i built my whole truck for around 45k and that was starting with a 22k truck

those prices are really good for what your buying IMO. not to much more than an fx4, but to build the truck your looking at new fenders, new bed sides, all the suspension, a motor swap if you want the 6.2, then you still have the stock wheels/ tires you gotta look into getting atleast better tires, which the raptor already has. i would have thought it would have been in the 50's for the 6.2, definitely no possibility for me to get one any time soon, but its good to see its reasonably prices for what it is.
