FabTech 6" lift

I want to buy a lift for my 2001 4x4 screw. I'm leaning towards a Fabtech lift. Is there anyone out there with this set-up,do you have/had any problems with this set-up.

lopez,

I just purchased the Fabtech 6 lift for my 01 Supercrew. Can't say anything from personal experience (yet) but everyone that I talked to that is familar with it recommends it (along with RCD).

I should have mine on within a week. If you want to get one soon be prepared to wait 2-3 weeks to get it. Fabtech just moved into a larger facility and 4wheel parts is waiting for a shipment. Also, 4wd kits no longer come in blue - just black (new for 2002). Only 2wd kits are blue.

reasons for buying Fabtech over RCD...

Word of mouth. High praises for Fabtech

Thumbs up

Great kit!!! Never a problem and it is build pretty heavy duty. I installed the kit myself. Took off a 4" Trailmaster kit and replaced it with the Fabtech kit because I wanted extra lift. I was blown away how much better the Fabtech kit was in both quality and finish. Very good instructions also, You wont be sorry!

lopez,

Did they give a date of when the lift kit would be in? I am going on the 3rd week. Called them and now appears it won't be in until after Christmas. Just curious what timeframe they gave you. I bought mine at the Van Nuys 4 wheel parts.

Also, if you haven't fully paid for the lift, you might be able to get the price down to $1200.

Hey whats-up Socalscrew. I placed my order on 12-8-02. I called them on 12-16-02 to find out if the kit has arrived. I was told the parts are back-ordered, they should arrive at 4wheel Parts by 12-24-02. When i bought the kit I was told it would take a few days to get in, so i made an install date for 12-23-02. How did you get the price down to 1200.00. PLEASE let me know. Hey, I also bought my at Van Nuys, I was told that there two kits back-ordeded, my and yours.

Lopez,

I ordered my kit on 11/30/02. I called on 12/14/02 and they said that they had box #1 and were waiting on the 2nd box. They said it will could come in late this week, but probably won't be in until after Christmas.

As far as the price, I went into the store with the price of $1311 (truckperformance.com) and they came back with $1326. So I left and came back a couple days later to order it and the price was $1280. But after talking with them, adding install and tires the price went down to $1200. Maybe they lower the price when you order a package.
