Exclamation need opin asap!!

I got a 1997 f150 ext cab short bed. I want to have it raised by next year but, people tell me diff everyday about what to get and what not to get....? Getting a procomp 4" lift with a 2-3" body with 36x14.50xr16 dirt grips. I think with the lift and the body the tires should go on with no rubbing.. I mean i dont want to go to high, but enough to get a 36 on it.. maryland laws suck now adays!!!
thanxs guys

im not too crazy about body lifts either. personally id go with a 6" suspension lift then add some 35" tires (maybe 36's, but they might rub, not really sure). good luck!

I have a 4" trailmaster and I'am running 36x12.50 super swampers.Only thing bad i found about body lifts are your back bumper, if you move it up then your hitch dont look right same with your dual exhaust (if you have dual exhaust).I have run 35x12.50 with a 3" body lift. So i would guess a set of 36x14.50 will fit nicely under a 6" lift if you would like to go that way. Also you can put a 4" suspension lift and crank you torsion bar up and put a 2" block in your rear end and that will most likely clear the 36x14.50. Put that is just my opinion (You know what they say opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and some of them stink).

Body lifts also limit the type of towing or pulling you do. I have also heard of someone that died because of how unsafe bodylifts are. IMO they look gay. A big space between the frame and body.

Fabtech makes a 6in lift that you could get, but im not sure whether or not you will be able to put 36s under that. You could crank your torsion bars and put some add-a-leafs under there and that should be able to clear them. Is there a specific reason you want the 36s?
