Beardoge,

I recently upgraded the complete A arm bushings, and sway bar bushings to the energy suspension polyurethane bushings. I also changed the upper and lower ball joints to heay duty MOOG's. They are greased up and it does squeak a littlt bit but my handling has improved, is that slight squeakiness normal with the polyurethane bushings??

next project stoptech big brake upgrade and ATI procharger SC

The front mount on the Belltech drop leaf springs I just installed are much bigger than the stock springs. I noticed this during installation because I could hardly get the bolt back through because the end was hitting the leaf hanger. I thought this might lead to trouble and sure enough. Squeak, squeak, squeak...

...I'm going to see if putting a teflon pad in there will help. I'll post what fixes it when I feel I've got it resolved.

How I fixed my Belltech 3" drop leaf springs from squeaking on my 2000 2wd. They were touching the hanger at the top of the springs front loop.

I fixed the problem by die grinding just enough spring material to provide a gap. I ground approx. 1/8"deep x 1/4"wide by 2" long off the corner of the spring provided a 1/16" gap between it and the hanger.

Since the Belltech spring was much thicker than the stock spring, I figured that this wouldn't have much affect on the integrity of the spring.
