I'd say tire choices will totally depend on what you plan on using your truck for. If you plan on doing a lot of offroading, then definitely go with a mud terrain tire...Some that are recommended in a 35" size are the Goodyear MTR 315/75R16....Other nice 35's that come off the top of my head are the ProComp Mud Terrains, and the all-terrains, and the BFG mud and all terrains. Id go to national tires website www.natltire.com and 4 Wheel Parts website, and there you can see exactly what else comes in a 35" size, and even see prices for them. Best of luck to ya on your endeavor!

Thumbs up 4wheelparts all the way

Man, I researched this stuff for a long time, and I owe a big thanks to all the folks that provided input on this website!

I just ordered the following from 4wheelparts.com...

- Fabtech 6" lift
- 16 x 10 Weld Outback wheels with 4 5/8 backspacing
- 315/75R16 BFG A/Ts

The wheels come mounted, balanced, and ready to install. I also ordered the lug cover kit (which is recommened by Weld, and allows you to use your stock lugs).

I looked at both National Tire & Wheel and 4 Wheel Parts. 4 Wheel Parts has the best price. The final price was $3066. Shipping is free, but this includes the small handling charge. Another big plus...no tax! Tax on $3K can be huge!

I'm pumped about this package, but you could save some more money if you look at some cheaper wheels and tires. Procomp A/Ts or Micky Thompson Baja Radial MTXs are cheaper than the BFGs. (I just like the BFGs better.) Also, you could save some cash by going with Mickey Thomson, American Racing, or Eagle wheels. (Again, I wanted to go top-of-the-line with the Welds.)

When it comes to labor, call around to every shop & get prices. I talked to 6 shops before making my final decision. Another suggestion...be educated *BEFORE* you walk into those shops. There was at least one shop that I wouldn't even let change my oil. Some of those guys just plain don't know what they're talking about. Once you decide on a shop, if their prices aren't where you want them, try to talk 'em down. Show them prices from other shops. Work 'em. It worked for me.

Good luck! If you have any questions, let me know.

My truck goes under the knife next week, and I can't wait!
