Has anyone installed the AIRLIFT (rear leaf helper kit) on a 1997 F-150 and if so was it worth it as far as added support when occasionally hauling a heavy load?

AIRLIFT sells a kit (#59501) for the 97 F-150 however local shops are telling me that they won't fit.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
