Superduty rear springs

I have a '99 superduty 4x2 x-cab 8'box. I have put a service body on it that total weight full weighs about 2,000+lbs. It sets pretty level but I keep thinkng I'm probably really pushing it. It has 5 leaf springs on the back now.

Do you think I need to increase capacity?

How do I determine what kind of spring system and capacity I have now?

What would be the best and least expensive way to increase capacity.

Thanks

Since "Super Duty" covers everything from an F250 up, you'll have to give us a little more info.

Sorry, it's a F250.

Probably hauling more like 1,500 lbs rather than 2,000.

Well, there isn't anything to legally increase the 8800# GVWR of the F250, so I'd like to caution you to not overload your truck. The body itself is heavy- so you can't add much "stuff" without getting close to Ford's ratings.

However, you can do several things to improve the way the truck sits with the service body installed. These include re-arching the springs, adding/changing springs, air bags and other "load assist" devices. I haven't heard much about the system you mention, but a lot of guys like the air bags. Being adjustable is, IMO, one of the best benefits of the bag system.
