Edelbrock IAS's ordered

After reading much here, and wanting to rid my truck of body roll and improve the ride/handling. I decided to order the Edel's. Locally a guy here got them for $64.00 ea, a good price after some looking.

I thought over a rear sway bar, but didn't want the noise and harsher ride sometimes associated with one. For the street the Edel's seem hard to beat.

I'll post impressions when they are installed.

Thumbs up Edelbrock's

I have them and I really like them. I was thinking swaybar until I put the Edelbrocks on and now I don't want the sway bar. I also put a set on a buddy of mine's Supercrew(my friend was Very skeptical) and he loves them. He said that his truck now feels connected to the ground and handles lots better. I think you will like them.

Question

My truck rides bouncy on certian type roads compared to my friends Z71. Do these shocks smooth out the ride while still maintaining or improving the handling capabilities?

Question

Screwdriver,

How does your truck ride with the Edelbrocks? I want better handling but I don't want it to ride like a meatwagon.

That's the best thing about these shocks. You get a little more cushion for the big bumps and a lot more control for the corners and braking. Before the shock upgrade my truck had way too much body roll. Once you got the Screw off center it really wanted to lean. The IAS really helped out!

Also check out www.desert-rat.com They also had sets for $239 (something like that)

Talking Edelbrocks

These Edelbrock shocks are firmer than stock. So there's that. However, they absorb large bumps with equal smoothness and twice the control. They really make a difference in street driving with the reduction in body lean during cornering. They are also awesome off road, so much more control. It's amazing the overall improvement that they provide. They are several good brands out there such as Bilstein, Rancho, etc., and they are all great. These Edelbrocks are the ones I got and I am thrilled with them.
