Coil Concerns......
Will the front coil springs from a 1995 Bronco xlt 4x4, fit a 1994 F150 4x2 for about 3" of lift? I'm sure I would need new shocks and rear lift blocks but what about steering and brake lines? I also realize I will need to get it realigned. But will it work? The F150 has a 4.9. The Bronco has a 5.8.
installation was easy if youre mechanically inclined. all i had to do was take off the wheel, remove the shock, unbolt the sway bar, then unbolt the coil spring and it will come right off. putting in the new one can be a littel challenging due ot the fact that theyre taller than the original, but with a little sweat you'll get it in there. truck handles great. a little stiffer ride, but nothing unbearable. if youre gonna do it, i think its simple enough to do at home with some hand tools. before you do it, however, i would look into the alignment thing i mentioned earlier. im actually considering removing my front coils and installing the factory ones again only because so far nobody can align the truck and my tires are beginning to wear unevenly. so far ive visited 5 different alignment shops (3 of them specialize in alignment of lifted trucks) and none have been able to do it. theyve all told me that its impossible to align the front end. do your research, maybe since your truck is newer than mine, maybe you wont have that problem with the camber adjustment. any other questions, just let me know. good luck!
