Power Steering leak

My '99 has developed power steering leak. It is the front seal of the pump Anybody else have this happen so soon. My truck only has 42,000 miles on it. Can I remove the pulley and change the front seal only or am I going to have to buy a pump?

PS Pump

I don't know how to fix it, but my 2000 had the PS pump replaced under warranty at around 20,000 miles, and I noticed a leak on my '01 when I changed my oil at 18,000 miles.

Same thing here

Hey I had the same problem and I am on the 3rd pump in 82,000 miles. This is on a 97 150. Think Ford may want to redesign the pumps to keep this from happening so much. I do know where the leak is coming from though. It seems to be from the hard line that runs out the bottom of the pump right where the line connects to the pump. But ya can't tighten it because it is a pressed fitting. If I am wrong someone let me know.
