Adjusting Torsion Bars

I have heard that if you adjust the torsion bars then you have to have the truck aligned. I have also heard that if you adjust them equally on both sides then you don't have to have an alignment. Any thoughts on this? I would think that if you adjust them you are changing the angles on the front end and wold need an alignment. Thanks for any info.

This questions has been covered in many threads. Problem is I have yet to see anyone prove on way or another. I have turned mine and my truck drives just as well as it did. No pulling. That does not mean it is perfectly aligned, but until I see some indication of a problem I will probably not align it. Do a search on torsion bars and you will get a days worth of opinions and speculation. I know this: a lot of people crnak up their torsion bars and I have not seen a post saying it casued a problem.

I cranked my torsion bars also and have not noticed any problems with the ride of my truck. Heck it may have made it better.
