hey true. I remember your post about your truck not sitting level and wanted to offer some more suggestions or atleast ask a couple more questions. I think you used the Western Chassis kit, that is the same one I installed this weekend on my '99 FS. I noticed in the directions it listed a correction if the truck didn't sit level on the rear. Raise the truck and loosen all 4 bolts that hold the leaf springs, then put the truck on the ground, lower the tailgate and bounce on the truck. You may have one leaf spring that is still in a bind or something. This would have been caused by tightening the leafs with the truck still in the air. Also, I guess you changed the front hangers for your drop. It wasn't labeled which side was for right or left but it did look like there was a difference in the front spring eye locations. Did you put the front leaf spring in the lower or upper hole? Is the upper hole on the front hanger slightly forward of the lower hole or is it the other way.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the input- I'll give it a try this week and see how things good- also if anyone can come up with some other ideas that would be great too, thanks again- say what would you guys think about putting a shim under the side thats low??

one thought that came to mind was the possiblity that the front hanger was reversed. There are 2 holes you can use to mount the front leaf spring to the hanger. If the upper hole in the hanger is mounted slightly forward of the lower hole it is correct (or that is the way we did mine). If the hangers are swapped and the upper hole is behind the lower hole it may be putting the leaf into a bind. Loosen all 4 leaf bolts and give it some good bouncing on the tailgate, per the Western Chassis instructions. Maybe that will correct it. A shim may work but it may also put a different load on one leaf vs the other. Good luck, let me know what happens.
