so it sounds like i need to grease something...any comments?

 

pitman arm. There is a new "revised" unit you can install, but some grease on the arm works for a few thousand miles

 

My wife and i just purchased a 1997 EXPEDITION two weeks ago with 65K on it.Two problems we`re experienceing are squeking brakes(pads look newer) and steering.The other day i read an older posting on this site,on noisey steering. One person recommened piercing the rubber boot on the pitman arm with a grease needle and applying lots of grease???
I have not tried this yet but i plan too.
