Rear end bounce

Just bought a 2018 extended cab longbox F150 with a max load suspension. The truck rides like a bucking bronco. When I test drove it I thought it was the road. Anyone have a similar problem?

What load range tires are on it and what pressures are you running? If it's bouncing on a smooth road, go get the tires checked for out of round and get them road force balanced.

Tires are new LT and it does not bounce on a smooth surface. When I hit a bump it bounces way more than it should, like get you nauseous. Do you think that the shocks are done at 62000 kms?

Open the tailgate and put your weight on it and try to get it to bounce and then stop. It shouldn't bounce afterwards. If it continues to bounce your shocks are bad.
I once test drove a new custom van. The salesman said these vans has heavier springs installed for the additional weight unlike other vans. When driving it at 60 mph the rear bounced up and down and would have made me nauseous if I had driven it very far. Stiff springs without very stiff shocks to go with them will do this. If this is your problem, some Bilstein 4600s or 5100s from rockauto would probably eliminate the bouncing.

Got the truck inside... load range C and the tires where at 40psi. Shortly thereafter we checked the shocks which are not OEM. They are adjustable and do not move at all as 2 of us jumped up and down on the tailgate!!!!! I believe that they are way too stiff and causing the rear end to come off the ground when I hit bumps. Called the dealer and will be heading there this week. Let you know what they find.

40 psi on LR C is good.

Sounds like the previous owner set it up for real heavy loads and/or heavy towing. Maybe the shocks can be adjusted.

Got an update you got to hear. One month after new shocks were Installed I heard noise coming from the truck. Pulled the old slow down, speed up wondering if it was tranny or dif. Noise inconsistent. Stopped the truck and looked underneath ( thought I was dragging something ) Find the shock and the top bracket from the body dragging along!!!! At that point I realized that the bracket was already damaged before the dealer changed the shocks. Meaning they knew and changed the shock and sent me on my way. Now I was pissed. Called the dealer and told them in no uncertain terms that they knew it would break blah blah blah!!! So after a 14 day wait, the part arrived and I have a new bracket.
