My 2008 F150 XLT Supercab has started to rattle badly on the road - straight line or turning, it doesn't matter. I thought I might need new shocks, but I also thought I'd take a look at the mounts for the cab and the truck bed. Pictured here is a one of the bed mounts. Is it supposed to look like this? I would have expected to see some bushing material in the area identified by the arrow. Each of the 4 mounts I looked at looked like this.

 

Looks OK to me, my '07 as it looked in 2009, and it looks pretty much the same today.

 

Looks about right to me.
