It looks like with some pounding, that can be fixed. Any other issues should be fixed with an alignment with new parts.

You could just cut it off and fabricate another piece. I'd think that would be easier and your best option.

I'd feel safer that way. It's supposed to crumple like that in the event of an accident. By adding more material, yes it's stronger, but forbid you get into an accident, results can be disastrous.

I've had to repair pieces like that when they get screwed up from too much hammering or "accidentally" buzzing a bolt off with a grinder... I just get the same thickness steel and cut the ear off and make a new setup from what cut off. Assuming that is what you tore up.

Me personally I would scrap the truck and buy something else. the frame [rust condition] looks like its seen better days anyways. I'd be weary of bending rusted metal and thinking it would be road worthy again.

I worked in a professional high end body shop for ~7 years. I've seen lots and lots of damaged vehicles.....

under one body shop roof:
I was trained for: Lexus Master certified, Mercedes Certified, JLR Certified

Damn hard on equipment one is.

I'd have the truck towed to a frame shop, let them replace the whole section of frame and LCA, they can put it back right without using fatigued metal bent back.
