Unhappy Ranchhand Front End Replacement

I really want one of those Ranchhand front bumper replacements but I'm worried about the weight. I have a Procomp 6" ProRide 2WD lift and I don't want my front end to start sagging if I put this on. Is it going to put a lot of stress on my springs and cause my front end to sag? Thanks.

i had a 97 powerstroke and was looking into that as well(2wd) and i talked to two guys and they said that they would want me to sign something so the can install it. one guys exact words were ''that the front end would go to Sh**" so nedless to say i did not get one. it might be worse for a 1/2 ton truck than a 3/4 ton because stiffer springs and coils, etc....if it was 4wd i would say go for it

This is what I want to do also. I went to a Ranch Hand dealer the other day and priced them, I was quoted $1065 for the Front End Replacement with hidden winch mount. That is a lot of money, and also with the $400 rear bumper that I am lookin into. You should just go to a Ranch Hand dealer and ask them, cause the one I am looking at weighs 265 pounds, and I was told that my truck can handle it, but will put some stress on the ball joints. I saw a pic there of a 4x4 Expy with the set-up I want and it was just fine. So when I get the cash, I will be goin this direction. But like I said, better go to a dealer, and get their advice.

265 pounds... that'd be a fair amount more then stock, but not enough that I think it would cause a huge wear on the springs. I've got an Explorer with superlift springs and my front bumper/winch/lights weighs probably close to 250-300 pounds, never had a problem with it sagging (though the front end does lift up about two inches whenever I remove the bumper, LOL).
