Alrighty, I'm at work so I didn't take the time to scroll or search through the threads before posting, I do apologize for that. Here's what I need help with:

I have a 2006 F-150 Lariat, rear wheel drive, 5.4L that a mechanic told me I needed to replace the rack and pinion on. I have the new rack and pinion already, I'm just wanting to know how hard of a change will this be? No I'm not doing it myself, but I have a family member who is. If you were going to do this, and let's say you had zero tools what so-ever, what would you buy? I ask because I want to make sure we have everything needed. Also! Do we need to lift the truck via the frame or can we put it up on ramps?
