2010 FX2 leveling kit ruin my tires?
Let's see if you fellas can more less tell me what you think happened?
*Bought a 2010 FX2 in 2010-Installed a 2" CCM Offroad Performance leveling kit for the front (doughnut looking thing), and mechanic aligned truck
*At 12K miles, my tires were ruined on the outside, guess the alignment messed them up
*Replaced tires (had to spend $$$), got truck aligned again this time by FORD
*At 30K the tires got ruined AGAIN and once more I had to dish out $$$ for new tires and new alignment
*Thought all was well since I went about 26k miles worry free but NOPE... the drivers side tire has major thread wear on the inside part, the passenger not as much but there is some inner wear.
All I wanted to achieve was the look of the FX4 in terms of height, but it's been a nightmare and big hit in my pocket.
1)Do you all think the spacer/leveling kit I put on the front is to blame?
2)Do you think the mechanic didn't put it properly?
3)Should I replace the CCM Offroad Performance 2" leveling kit with something else?
4)Was I supposed to get an alignment every 6 months or once a year since I leveled the truck 2" in the front and 1.5" in the back?
I don't want to buy new tires until I know I won't have this issue again... any recommendations is much appreciated fellas. Thank you

Pardon my knowledge but is a strut the same thing as a shock absorber? Can you point me to a link that has the "adjustable struts" you recommended? I tried looking at various websites but I have no idea what I'm to look for?

The Bilsteins are a tad firmer than the Ranchos. And more expensive.

On top of what's been said, find an off road shop to do the alignment this time. They're used to working on vehicles where the geometry has been changed versus the dealership or places like that where they mainly service stock vehicles.

How much should a camber kit cost me with the service center that's going to install the rancho quick lift struts got? Are they only ordered online?

Guess all trucks just aren't the same. I had a 2" spacer on my 2010 FX2 for almost 2 years. Tires are wearing perfectly.. I've recenlty took that off and put on a 4" RC lift kit sits much better now.. Good luck on what you do.
I installed 2" leveling kits on my 06 and my 11 and a 1.5" kit on my 14 and they only threw the toe off a little but didn't mess with the camber or caster. Here are the results from the alignment on my '14.
