I just traded in my 06 Lincoln Mark LT for a new, 2014 Platinum with the 6.2L.
I'm having a hard time deciding how I want to proceed with the new truck. My Mark had an 8" BDS lift, 20" wheels, with 37" tires, and I was 100% happy with the look and ride, etc.
However, I see that BDS (and most other companies" are only doing a 6" kit for the 09-14's. I know that I can run 37's under BDS's kit (with the right wheel backspacing), but I'm concerned that it will not look proportionate (as in there won't be enough lift and the tires will look like they're kind of stuffed under it).
The shop I've used for all my other truck stuff contacted BDS and they said that they do not recommend putting a 2" leveling kit on top of the 6" lift in the front, and/or a add-a-leaf, or bigger block in the back to give me the extra 2" to make it an 8" lift because the geometry will not be correct, and it would/could cause problems going through CV joints, etc. I don't know why BDS isn't doing an 8" kit at the moment, but I like their stuff and want to stick with that brand for the moment.
They also told me I could do a 3" body lift on top of the 6" suspension lift, but I feel leery about doing that.
Does anybody have any thought on this? It would be much appreciated.

Think your only option is 6" plus 3" bl or you could check and see if Rize is still making their 8" kit (a little more pricey but worth it and be prepared to wait for the kit)
