Bilstein 5100 not fitting?

Ok, so I have head alot of things about these shocks, and it was time for some new shocks, so I looked on 4wheelparts.com, put in the information for my truck, and they had said it fit, so I placed the order. They called me a day later saying that the shocks would fit, and they would ship the order. About a week later (today) they are calling me and saying that they do not fit for my truck although I am almost positive they do, because of everything I have heard of them. Just wanted to confirm that they do not fit through you guys, before I order something else. I drive a 2001 f150 XLT 4x4 at stock height.
Thanks,

Kinda depends on which ones you ordered... They make them for plenty of trucks so without the part number, we can't tell you whether they're the right ones or not.

But technically since you're stock height you shouldn't be running the 5100's, now if you plan to lift or level that's different. If you plan to stay stock you need to go with the HD's, same as the 5100's but for stock height trucks.

Sorry, it is currently at stock height, but I do plan on cranking the torsion keys to level the truck. The part number on 4wheelparts is S/DShockingBIL5100....weird# in my opinion

Cranking the keys does not constitue a lift, so don't be confused by that. Pizza got it exaclty right; you should have never ordered 5100's as they are for lifted trucks. They will not fit your truck. Even with the torsion keys cranked all the way up, that shock is still too long. Cranking the keys does not change the amount of suspension travel nor does it alter the distance (extended and collapsed) between the shock mounting points. That's why you still require a stock replacement shock even with key cranked.

Alright, I thought they made them for stock height on these trucks. Thanks for clearing that up!
