Sway bar movement????

Some how my sway bar got moved (front end). It got pushed from the drivers side to the passenger side, like a 1/2 to 1/4 inch or so much that it had an effect on the end link on the drivers side. To the point that it had no bushings on it and was squeaking when I was driving. The sway bar end was rubbing the bolt.

Went an bought two new moog end links. Heavy duty ones.

How would be the best way to move it back to where it was??? Because putting in the new link isn't working to well. Was thinking since I got both new,, was going replace both, so if I take both off,, can I bang the sway bar back enough so I can have a better angle to get it on. (end link)

Loosen the main sway bar mounting brackets and work it up and down while pushing it in the direction you want. I would replace both end links since you under there getting dirty anyway. I always look at stuff like brakes. If you do one side, always do the other so you don't have to worry about it.

Yeah I was thinking about it after I posted. Realized that i could loosen the main mounts, like you said.

What's the best way to get the links nuted together. I got 3 bushings on the bolt,, the fourth one is the PITA one. There is no threads to get nut started. Have floor jack,, more then big enough to lift truck. Was thinking jack up under shock??? or a C-Clamp on bolt top then on the A-Arm and squeeze!!! Just enough to get threads to start nut.

Yes plan on replacing both!!!!!!!!!

just lift the a-arm(under shock is great) a little bit and it will bolt right up

tried doing that,, but the fact sway bar was moved it wouldn't coop. The links that I got are heavy duty,, they have just a nut. Where as the standard ones the nut had a collar that extended into the bushing to catch the bolt.

Getting them installed as I type this at a garage. Along with new bilstein rear shocks.

Well shocks and frontend end links are done. For 104.00 cant complain for me.

Didn't think about putting bolt in from the bottom up. Think that's what he did.
