Do any of you guys know of a manufacturer who makes aftermarket torsion bars for our trucks? I heard that the Chevy 1-Ton bars will fit and add a 2" lift. I really have a hard time believing that however.

I haven't seen any aftermarket torsion bars yet, but here is an idea...

Some people have replaced the f150 torsion bars with ones from the 1997-1998 F250 LD. These bars are about 12" longer and a bit more stout. There is a second set of bolt holes on the frame and you move the crossmember back to accomodate the longer bars.

This mod will increase your payload capacity and give you an easy 2" lift up front.
