2" AS Leveling Kit TROUBLE! Please Help!!

I am new here and I need some help. I attempted to install a 2" autospring leveling kit on a 2013 Supercrew. Here's the issue.... I could not get the shock to go back into the lip on the A-arm with the spacer installed. I dropped the A-arm totally but could not get it to fit. I called Autospring and they asked what year... And his response was ohhh 2013..... they are a pain in the A$$. Could anybody tell me any tricks on how to get the the spring to connect to the A-Arm. I know the 2013's A-arm is made differently... Instead of having "ears/lugs" to connect the spring and A-arm it has alip around it. Any info would be great.
Thanks!!!

While I cannot help you with your experience right now I will shed some advice. IMO I WOULD NOT install that crap. I know many are running around with them on and so did I. I am in the process of fixing all the crap that leveling kit tore up on my truck... And it aint cheap either.

Do what you want but I wished someone was there to steer me away from spacers. If you would like pictures of all the damage they did I will be more than happy to send them to ya.

I'll leave this here too.

Man sounds like you had some bad luck or you bought a spacer that's way to big. Because generally the only people who seem to have bad luck are the people who do the install and mess something up or the people who don't do their research first and order a spacer that's too big trying to get cheap lift. Whether you go with a spacer or you go with those bilsteins, suspension geometry is no different. The only thing I agree with in that video is the coils rubbing the control arm at full droop because I've heard of it happening before on the previous designs of the kits which have been revised since then. Otherwise your basically listening to a salesman's advice, yea spacers can cause all those other problems but so can those struts.

Yeah man no doubt. Anytime you go messing with the suspension and put it out of OEM spec you are asking for some trouble.

I'm not sure how you can incorrectly install these but maybe I did? I had the 3" HBS at first. It threw my angles way out and I didn't like my CV angles at all. I know everyone now advises against the three inch.
After about 4K miles I took it off and installed an AS 1.5 inch kit. This had the new angles and my upper control arms still beat my coil spring. My steering knuckle continued to beat the lower control arm while turning.

If I had to do it all over again and had to get a budget lift I would get the spacers that go in the actual strut/spring. That way you cannot go over the OE allowed geometry. Sure it may ride stiffer but at least you know it is semi safe.

Just my 2 cents
