Longer Upper Control Arm

So. I have a major headache that i need help with. Have a 2001 f150 2wd. I recently put a daystar leveling kit on it to keep my 285/70/17's from rubbing. Afterward i took my truck to an alignment shop to get camber adjusted. Apparently my truck has been wrecked and fixed before. There is no more adjusting that can be done. Mechanic says i need to find upper control arms that are about two inches longer. I CANT FIND THEM ANYWHERE. Can anyone please help me with this? Or anyone have any ideas besides taking leveling kit off? Camber needs to be adjusted out 2-3 inches. Gotta get this fixed quick. New set of BFGs and dont want to waste them.

What size spacer did you get?

And fabtech, springtech, Canuck motorsports, doestch, and some other brands all make aftermarket control arms.

There's also camber adjustment bolts that allow more than stock adjustment.

Did the truck being in a wreck affect this situation somehow? Was it fixed properly?

I'm thinking if it was fixed properly it wouldn't effect it, the alignment shop just may not actually not what they're doing. Plenty of those around my area.

Put a 3inch front and 1 inch back leveling kit on it. The cam washers and bolts are adjusted all the way out. I think when the truck was wrecked, it twisted the frame in a little. once it was on the lift u could see spots in the frame where it had been crushed and i guess they put it on a frame straightener and pulled it back out.

The frame has crush zones, the problem is you used a 3" kit without getting aftermarket arms, the most you can go on the stock arms is 2". You need to get new arms. You'll probably have to email or call one of the companies I listed about to order them, usually they aren't listed by themselves. Some research would've saved you a major headache.

The wreck has nothing to do with why you can't get proper alignment spec. You are running way to large of a spacer I personally wouldn't even go over 1.5", but some guys say they get away with 2. Even with the correct arms, I bet the ride is going to be pretty harsh.

Thanks for the help guys. Checked on longer control arms, but everyone wants between 7 and 8 hundred for them. gonna go a different route and see if it turns out any better. Got new steering knuckles ordered. 3 inches taller. They should be here this week. Hopefully it will bring my control arms back up to level. Also wondering if i should go ahead and go with longer shocks. Input?....

3" lift spindles don't effect the geometry, you could have gotten the 3 or the 3.5" and it wouldn't make a difference. I'm not sure where you looked for control arms but they aren't nearly that much. You can buy a full 6.5" lift kit for close to that (iirc the cheapest is around 950. So yea you'll get some more lift, but your not going to fix your original problem, research should always come before throwing more money at it.

Canuck has them for $447, part number 3021.31000. First company I found that has them listed on their site, if you want other quotes you'll most likely have to email the companies I listed above.

Yeah you'll get more lift, but it still doesn't fix your problem.

Just want to give an update. got my spindle lift in. Got everything installed. Took the daystar spring spacers out and just went with the spindle/knuckle lift. Totally fixed my problem. I now have plenty of adjustment room from the cam bolt kit to get my alignment done. Also a much smoother ride.

You don't need the cam bolt kit now, your back at stock angles without that spacer. The stock bolts will work fine.

Thank God, I leveled my 2000 f150 by putting 2.5" spacers under the coils then had to put Moog shocks on to keep it from locking the stock ones out then tried caster camber nuts and turned those all the way out just for them to tell me I'm -2° off on drivers side and -4° on passenger. So those are the only upper control arms I've seen that will fit this truck in 2 months of searching. Thanks
