Torsions, blocks, and 35's?
Hi all,
Well im in line to get our 2001 f150 extended cab 4.6l xlt 4x4. It has been our family truck for years and my first truck in several months . As far as suspention, its got airbags in the rear and ranchos all around. 31's on some nice wheels does it for tire set up. We are looking to crank the torsions, to my understanding i can get over an inch in the front and must do an alighnment afterwords. Then throw a set of block spacerss in the rear corresponding to the lift in the front. Then throw a set of 35's on it. Is this quite do able? Any pics of anyone who has done this??!! Hope im not asking something that has been answer a bunch all ready. Still learning the site.

What are the specs on the wheel (width and backspace/offset)? Sounds like they aren't stock so it might make 35's not possible.
You can get enough lift out of the torsion bars to level the truck and an alignment is a good idea. Blocks in the rear are optional if you wanna keep the stock rake to the truck.

Yes i furhter have to look into making sure the wheels are capable of the rubber. Good to know that leveling it is possible will the bars with the stock key (may get a different key). Im looking for about a 3-4" lift so will probably need blocks in the rear. Thanks for your help.
if youre looking for that much lift than you need a full suspension lift or either a body lift....DO NOT GET NEW KEYS.....you can get like 2" MAXXXXXXX safely off the stock keys...any more and your angles for the susp will be terrible....if you do put blocks in the rear than dont expect it to be level

No prob,....ive already been through this, i had new keys and blocks in the rear,...everything under my truck and i mean everything...(minus the steering gear box) has been replaced as a result of those keys and over cranking the t-bars...ball joints, tie rods, axle tube housing, pitman and idler arm, bearings,cv axles, etc..etc...etc...overcranking (which the keys allow you to do) plays hell on a front suspension

Thanx...yeah its a suspension...ill be putting on a zone 2" body lift this summer to let the 37's breathe....i got it a couple years ago and ordered it from southern truck performance off of my buddys GM forum and it had a 10% discount so it cost me a total of like $880 which is awesome in my opinion
