new user need help!! please :-)

I have a 1997 Ford F150 lariat 4.6 v8. My question is im running michelin p255/70 r16 tires on my truck now. How much bigger could i go on tires before i need to either lift it or level it out? Also if i do lift or level what would i need exaxtly? Im totally clueless on this kinda stuff. Thanks jesse ps something that wont break the bank lol

I had 295 75 16 terra grapplers on 16x10 **** cepeks on my 97 4x4 with no lift and no cutting or trimmin

4x2? You can fit a 285/75-16 using the stock wheels, but they will be stuffed. I'd either add Daystar coilspring spacers or stick with a 265/75-16.
