I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time believing its dropped 6" after I have called and emailed BDS and both times I was told it does "drop" the differential 5". Considering they build the kit, I'm sure they know the specs. I do understand exactly what you mean, I have installed 4 fabtech lifts on this model ford, and tons more on other makes and models.

Congrats, I know lots of mechanics that don't know anything about lift specs too. I'm just telling you what bds told me and how other lifts I've installed are. Those are facts not speculation. I just find it hard to believe that bds doesn't know about the product they build and sell. Not to mention like I told you before almost all knuckle lift are designed and built this way.

So because your running 37s with a 6" lift you know more than the manufacturer of the lift? ok then... I should also mention I called 3 bds dealers and they confirmed it to be approximately 5" diff drop. As I said before this doesn't make it bad, the struts give it the extra 1" for a total 6" lift.

I'm not sure if the fabtech kit will run a 37 since it increases the track width, especially with a 4.5" backspacing. I know the bds kit doesn't affect the track width so Ill more than likely go with the bds kit

If your so smart, then why are you the one asking dumbass questions and arguing when someone gives you an answer.

and I bet you BDS does increase the track width, while it might not be as much as Fabtech, it still probably increases an inch or two if it's anything close to the 04-08 lifts.

lol, I never said I'm so smart. I by no means know it all. I've never ran 37s on 6" with this particular model truck, only 35s. Hence the reason for asking. Plus most manufactures are very conservative on their backspacing requirements, so asking these questions on the forums are usually the easiest way to go.

BDS advertises 0 track width increase, and when I originally spoke with them on the phone they confirmed this. Fabtech however increases the track width 0.5" on each side. These are facts, not assumptions. Theoretically going with the fabtech kit and a 5" backspacing would be the same as the bds with a 4.5" backspacing. Unfortunately the wheel I want is only available in a 4.5". Not to mention the 4.5" has a 0.5" deeper wheel lip than the 5"(if I could get it in a 5"), which I personally think looks better, but that's just my opinion.
