I hate to start another thread, but i need a pretty quick answer (verifcation)....I'm fixing to replace all ball joints on my 04....just want to make sure that when i put the lift on sometime next year that I won't be doing them again...I've read numerous threads over the past few years and dont remember seeing anything about replacing ball joints when installing a lift, but just want to make sure....thanx for the help up front........Geaux Vote tommorrow (unless you're a democrat )

It depends on how careful you are when you do the install when you do the lift. If you can remove them fine during the lift to put them back on then no, if you damage them like tearing a boot, then yea you'll need to replace them.

So you're replacing your ball joints now and plan on installing the lift next year? You should be good but I would re-check them at the time of the install. There's no better time to do that type of work as you'll have the front end apart anyway...
