4wd struts on 2wd
4wd struts on 2wd
is this possible? I heard about another member on another forum talking about how he did this and achieved a little more lift over his 2wd struts. With that in mind would you be able to add a leveling kit on top of that or would that put too much of an angle on your suspension system.
also wanted to add a rear block to my truck, will i need new shocks in the rear... i have rancho ones but i remember when i bought them from 4wheelparts online store and when i was choosing them there was an option for selecting how much rear lift you had. I'm guessing they had that there to determine whether you needed longer shocks or not.
Thanks in advance

You can use them, but a leveling kit is going to do the same thing and you atleast know how much a leveling kit will lift your front end. You cannot do both.
how large of block?

I have 2 " AS front leveling kit with 1.5 blocks in back on 07 SC 2wd. Looks great with slight rake. Actually, adding the rear blocks will appear to lift the entire truck because of the pivot point being the front wheels. It made a big difference bringing the rear up to 4x4 height. Have 103,000 miles with stocks shocks no issues, but it's overdue for new shocks now. Your Ranchos will do just fine, but when you replace them get stock 4x4 height shocks.
