Shocks

I have a 2003 Ford F-150 4x4.The shocks on the truck are shot and I mean litterly shot lol.I would like to put new shocks on it, but I dont want to put the stock Ford shocks back on.I would prefer to put like Fox Racing shocks or Pro Comp shocks on it.I dont wanna lift it any just wanna get replacment shocks. My issue is I dont know who has them and what kind to get ( soft-medium-hard setting shocks). Most of my driving is done on the road.I take back roads at times, and I do take it on atv trails and out threw fields at times. So what setting of shock would be good to get. Thanks for the help !

Edelbrock makes a great replacement shock, but just about any quality named brand shock is going to serve you well. No shock is going to lift your truck so you don't have to worry about that either. Any quality shock will work for driving through fields.

Fox and procomp are on too opposite ends of the spectrum.

I was giving examples using Fox Racing and Pro Comp because I honestly wasnt to sure who made what or anything and Galaxy will the shocks be okay for a little bit of rough terrain because if I could find a little stiffer shock for that it would be nice because alot of the terrain here in Ohio where I live is pretty bumpy and rough.
