Quicklift loaded vs the old one

Hey guys, dropped my truck off at the shop to get the quicklift installed this afternoon. So I've been looking online and noticed that the old version of the quicklift did not come with a new coil...what's the advantage of the new loaded version that I have vs the old version? I know it replaces the factory coil but what good does that do? Thanks!

I would think that rancho did this for multiple reasons. I don't think they cost more do they? I never looked at the old ones, I bought the new ones for 300 ish for the pair. I bought them because you can install them yourself if you have the tools of course. No need for a strut compressor. Also, if you have old springs they may not give you the best out of the struts.

Yeah, I got mine for $315 shipped which seemed like a good deal. I had the shop install them for me because they were already fixing a broken front axle from the old 3" level kit, hopefully that's over. I'm definitely curious to see if the new springs perform any differently than the oem ones...
