2007 FX2 Lowered with Eibach kit 2"/4" HELP!!!
Hey guys sorry if this is a repeat but I've been searching the forums for some help and haven't found any.
I've got a 2007 FX2 on 22" OEM Harley wheels, lowered with eibach pro kit, 2" springs up front, 3" leafs out back and 1" shackles. Changed all the shocks around to Eibach pro damper kit also. Been lowered for 1 year at this height.
I use the truck to tow a landscaping trailer not too heavy but I do use it for work so I have airbags on the rear with an onboard compressor and add air as needed.
The truck looks absolutely sick lowered with the wheels. The problem I'm having is one the ride quality has been really bouncy coming out of bumps on the highway. I knew the ride quality was gonna go down but didn't expect to be almost bouncing out of my seat.
The other problem I have is I just cracked my tailshaft housing where it mounts to the crossmember and it's leaking fluid so I'm not driving it. Has anyone else had this problem or know the fix? I have a 2 piece driveshaft and when I loosened the center bearing and slid the driveshaft back toward the rear it seems like the driveshaft was pushed into the trans to cause the crack.
So...
Do I:
A. Put it back to stock hieght and only lower with 1"shackles?
B. continue riding around on 2"/4" drop and deal with the bucking bronco and possibly crack a new tailshaft housing?
Or C. Which I don't even know the fix.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Stealth and OG, you guys can chime in at anytime
